The Camden Public Library will host more than 60 artists in its annual fall Harbor Arts & Books Fair on September 29 and 30, 2018. The fair will feature items for every taste and prices for every pocketbook!

The Camden Public Library’s huge September book sale under the tents will run for four days. Thousands of books, CDs and DVDs  divided into over 25 categories will be on sale beginning Thursday, September 27, and running through Sunday, September 30, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day except Sunday, when the sale will close at 4pm.

The Library has recently benefited from several large donations of wonderful titles, and because of those donations, books in the Biography and History sections will be sold under the “Buy One, Get One Free” banner for the entire 4 day sale. Another BOGO category will be added each day starting Friday; those sale categories will not be announced ahead of time; they will be unveiled at the start of each day of the sale.

Art patrons will find works in watercolor, oil, acrylics, and pastels, as well as photography, sculpture, and mixed media. Fans of handcrafted wares can shop for pottery, glass, woodcrafts, jewelry, and furniture. Fiber artists will also be represented with a wide selection of hand-woven sweaters, handmade quilts, and much more.

Harbor Arts & Books Fair is an admission-free, family-friendly event, making it a perfect day trip or weekend destination. Area inns, restaurants, and day-sailing schooners welcome our Harbor Arts guests — and the coastal panoramic views from nearby Mount Battie are not to be missed!

The Camden Public Library carries on the tradition of excellent juried arts, with a festive flavor and emphasis on quality and publicity.

Exhibitor booths will be in the Amphitheatre, on Atlantic Avenue in Camden, and along the water in beautiful and scenic Harbor Park.

Generous support for the Fair is provided by lead sponsor The Reny Charitable Foundation and support from Camden Riverhouse Hotel & Inns, Treekeepers, and Lyman-Morse.

A complete list of exhibitors and booth locations will be online leading up to the show at http://www.librarycamden.org/harbor-arts-and-books-2018/
