Dreams and Visions: The Magic of a Midsummer Night’s Dream

Join Camden Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Stephen Legawiec in preparation for the Camden Shakespeare Festival’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Amphitheatre this summer. Legawiec will take us a journey into the world of Shakespeare’s most magical and popular comedy – including a look at some of the most famous productions of the twentieth century. Also, get a sneak peek into Camden’s own production, revealing behind-the-scenes secrets in the creation of a “Dream.”

In his 30 years as an artistic director, Stephen Legawiec (le-GAHV-yetz) has curated over 100 professional productions as well as directing over 75. Legawiec is the author of 37 plays, including Red Thread, which won the Garland Award for “Los Angeles Production of the Year.” His productions have been praised by the Los Angeles Times, who called him “one of the theatre’s most adventurous talents.”
