The Camden Public Library, in partnership with the Maine Mycological Association, is pleased to welcome back mushroom expert Greg Marley on Sunday, April 6 at 1:30 p.m. for a fascinating and informative presentation on foraging for wild mushrooms and expanding your list of edibles safely.
As people build their knowledge and skills to forage and use wild edible and medicinal mushrooms, it is natural to want add more mushrooms to your list. As you move beyond the Foolproof Few, the common, easily-identified mushrooms, it becomes even more important to have guidance on choosing wisely and avoiding toxic mistakes. The talk will focus on Maine and New England mushrooms.
This talk seeks to offer a list of great mushrooms by filtering the recommendations through answering this question so often posed to me: “What is your favorite mushroom?”
This is a hybrid program and will take place in person in the Picker Room as well as on Zoom. If attending via Zoom, register ahead of time here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_plE9R6iTSUOZa1CxnBt6xw
