Join Kaite Thayer of Thayer Treats in Bath for a cozy winter evening of sugar cookie decorating from the comfort of your home! This free program will take place on Zoom on Tuesday, January 14, at 6:30 p.m. as part of our Jumpstart January series!

Learn how to decorate sugar cookies with royal icing from the expert herself. We will be decorating penguin and snowflake sugar cookies (but what you learn can be applied to any design!) We will also learn about cookie tips and tricks and how to get perfect consistency in our icing to achieve beautiful results.

Sugar Cookie recipe:

• 2 sticks softened butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• Flavor of choice 
• 3.25 cup AP flour
• 1/3 cup corn starch
• Cream together the butter and sugar until completely white and doubled volume. Add egg and flavor and mix well. Meanwhile, mix dry ingredients and add one spoonful at a time until dough cleans the sides of the bowl. Cut out shapes and place on parchment paper. Freeze for at least 15 minutes then bake at 350° until light golden 11-15 minutes.
