Mid Coast Audubon Series: Rare Birds of Maine with Louis Bevier

The Mid-Coast Audubon‘s series of nature talks in partnership with the Camden Public Library continues in-person and on Zoom on Thursday, April 20 at 6:30 PM with a program about rare birds of Maine with ornithologist and advanced bird identifier, Louis Bevier. He will talk about some of the exciting rarities that have occurred in Maine, how to identify them, how to document them, and tips to to improve your observational skills when describing birds.

Louis Bevier was the subspecies editor in the “Birds of North America” series produced out of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. He does environmental consulting work and has led several bird tours for Field Guides Inc. over the years. He is past chair, and still current member, of the Maine Bird Records Committee.
