Monday Morning Book Club: Blood, Bones & Butter

For the month of October, the group will be reading the memoir Blood, Bones & Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton. The Monday Morning Book Club meets in the Picker Room at the Camden Public Library and simultaneously on Zoom on the 4th Monday of each month at 10:00 am.

Summary: Blood, Bones & Butter follows Hamilton’s journey through the many kitchens she has inhabited through the years: the rural kitchen of her childhood; the kitchens of France, Greece, and Turkey, where she was often fed by complete strangers; the soulless catering factories that helped pay the rent; Hamilton’s own kitchen at Prune, with its many unexpected challenges; and the kitchen of her Italian mother-in-law, who serves as the link between Hamilton’s idyllic past and her own future family.
