For the month of May, the group will be reading and discussing The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell. To be connected with the group’s coordinator, email jsagaser@librarycamden.org. New members are always welcome! The Monday Morning Book Club meets in the Picker Room at the Camden Public Library and simultaneously on Zoom on the 4th Monday of each month at 10:00 am. The group will meet a week early on May 20 this month due to Memorial Day.
Summary: “Florence, the 1550s. Lucrezia, third daughter of the grand duke, is comfortable with her obscure place in the palazzo: free to wonder at its treasures, observe its clandestine workings, and devote herself to her own artistic pursuits.
