Coastal Friendship Circle, embracing neurodiversity and mentoring each other!
A new social, educational and supportive friendship circle is forming for neurodiverse adults living in coastal Maine. Join us for one or both of the start-up meetings (Belfast and Camden) and share what you can bring to the group and what kind of support you would most like to get from this group of friends. The Coastal Friendship Circle’s first meeting will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m. in the Picker Room at the Camden Public Library.
After the initial two meetings, one meeting each month will be a planning meeting and indoor activity and the other meeting of each month will be a community activity decided upon by the group.
The purpose of this group is to provide an opportunity for neurodiverse people including adults on the autism spectrum, with Tourettes, AD/HD, or learning differences to meet up with others and find common ground, and to share interests and activities. We will share our strengths and support one another with challenges.
If you would like let us know you will join us, or with questions, please contact Melinda Wildes at Melinda.adulted@gmail.com or 207-449-6011.
